Weekend Animal Forms Workshop

In this two-day workshop, students will work with Harvard Ceramics instructor and artist Claudia Olds Goldie to learn how to create animal forms using a single slab rolled into a cylinder. With sensitivity and a willingness to understand the essence of their chosen animal, students will use slab, modeling, pinching and layering techniques to create an expressive, anatomically convincing animal. Claudia will demonstrate the techniques she applies to her own sculptural work, as she leads you through this exciting process.
